<div class="foliodestext">A 2.5D Platform Game (2011), Whisperous was designed and simulated for XBLA, and can be played on PC and Mac using USB controllers.<br />
Playing as Lumo, the bringer of light, players must use their powers of attract and repel in order to move particle-like organisms around the world, feeding them into other living parts of the world in order to progress forward to rid the world of the darkness that has overcome it.<br />
I worked as a programmer on this project and was tasked with several tasks including but not limited to:</div>

<li>Attraction/Repulsion of objects</li>
<li>Dynamic vine and flower creation tool</li>
<li>Sprite Sheet interpretation</li>
<li>Character aiming and shooting</li>
<li>Menu systems and interactivity</li>
<li>Trigger system to move objects, open doors etc when triggered.</li>
</ul>
<p>This project was developed in Unity3D Engine, with some custom created editor tools.</p>

High levels of detail texture work was done in this model which can be seen at closer levels. This is also reflected through the bump mapping to give extra detail for a low poly model.</div>

<div class="foliodestext">This was an introductory class assignment to C# and WinForms. We were required to demonstrate File parsing techniques, for this project i created a level editor for 2D sprite based games. This editor includes features such as a hand tool, brush tool, marquee tool, eye dropper tool, and eraser and collisions tool. You are able to load in tiles to use individually for painting onto a canvas. If the user doesn&#8217;t have tiles I&#8217;ve included another tool i developed to cut up tilesheets into small tiles.<br />
Tiles can also be placed on an unlimited number of layers which a game engine could interpret as separate render layers. It also has a clipboard function as well as history states to provide undo and redo functionality.<br />
My tool takes this map data and saves it into an XML file ready for parsing for an appropriate game engine.</div>

<div class="foliodestext">A basic game variant of Battle Ships, where each player has a map of randomly generated cities. Each turn the player chooses a position on the grid to bomb it, if a city is within that grid it gets destroyed. The player who is last left standing, wins!</div>
